We are a people called to glorify God through the grace of Jesus Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, winning the lost, and growing God's Kingdom.
The church is the Bride of Christ. Our purpose is to glorify God in all that we do and say, preaching and teaching His Word throughout Mascoutah, the surrounding communities, and to the ends of the earth. We strive to baptize new believers into the fellowship of Christ, welcome wandering believers back into His fold, be a lighthouse for traveling Christians who move to our locale, and to truly make a discernable difference to all in Mascoutah and the surrounding communities.
As for our formal beliefs and doctrines we uphold, we affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. The Baptist Faith and Message does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all we believe.
The Church recognizes and adheres to the Holy Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God and as the sole authority for our faith and practice. All scripture is a testimony to Christ who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
In addition to these, we have organized as a body using these five pillars to support the ministry we believe God has called us to:
Worship – Through Christ-centered worship, we will provide regular services for families to worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
Discipleship– Through bible focused gatherings, we will offer families discipleship resources to grow deeper in their walks with Christ (Acts 2:42-47).
Evangelism– Through and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will train and encourage our members to share the gospel and bring new families into God’s family (Matthew 28:18-20).
Ministry– Through Christ-honoring ministries, we will give families the chance to serve families in need throughout the community and connect them to Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:42).
Fellowship– Through our family relationship in Christ, we will gather together and encourage each other in our walks with Christ. (Hebrews 10:25).
