Welcome to Mascoutah First Baptist Church! I'm Ronnie Tabor, and I'm thrilled to serve as the Pastor here in our close-knit community. Whether you're a lifelong resident, a military family from Scott AFB, or just passing through, my heart is to help you experience the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ. Let's build real connections, grow in faith together, and make Mascoutah a place where everyone feels like family.

My Journey to Ministry

I’m a military kid (Dad served 20 years in the Army) which took us to Clarksville, Tennessee, where I grew up. I gave my life to the Lord at age 8 and started preaching in my late teens – a calling that's shaped my entire life. Over my 28 years in the Air Force, I served in churches across Illinois, Florida, California, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Most recently, as Lead Pastor at Crossroads Church in Centralia, Illinois (2018–2025), where I led a vibrant turnaround. I've seen how God is already at work here in Mascoutah. Together, we’ll foster deeper relationships, and make our church a beacon of hope.

Service in the Air Force

Before full-time ministry, I proudly served 28 years in the United States Air Force. My military experience taught me servant leadership, resilience, and how to build teams in high-stakes environments – skills I now use to mentor leaders, disciple believers, and equip our church family.

Family and Fun

Family is a big part of who I am! I've been married to my incredible wife, Carrie (from Granite City, Illinois), since 1992. We're blessed with two sons and their wives, two energetic grandsons, and a beautiful granddaughter. When I'm not at church, you'll find me enjoying time with them, leveraging tech and social media to connect people, or just being a "go-getter" in our community. I love helping people reach their God given potential.
